Do you give your blog URL to your significant other? I don't, and apparently that's just cause for a fight. Isn't a blog where you go complain about him/her? And when you are living with them, wouldn't you feel a little suffocated if you don't even have some webspace to yourself? His exact words were, "Oh, so it's private enough for the entire world but not for me." Am I being unreasonable? help?

This is a tough one. On the one hand we have the understanding beat into us that relationships need good open communication. But on the other we all need our own space. If you withold the URL from him he may begin to resent the fact that anyone else can read it but him and may endeavour to search it out to find it. If you give it to him then invariably what you say becomes guarded and eventually you end up posting nothing of substance which can be ok but when its one of a few viable outlets it can become suffocating. Maybe letting him know that it is a place for you to vent and you would like it if he could respect that space might work. You would need to reafirm that any issues between you will be dealt with not pushed aside and hidden in the oh so evil blog. Or you can tell him to get stuffed and tell him you don't read his diary. Or you could give him the URL which could end up with him hunting me down to try and kill me. Tell him if he is in a killing mood I am in CL all summer. I will CF-18 his ass.
Definitely a touch one.
I do see where he is coming from though. You definitely deserve outlets to express frustration & vent, but is it fair that you are doing so on the itnernet where everyone else can read it except him? I'm sure most everyone vents to friends & confidents about relationship issues (that's normal), but writing it down where everyone could be seen as having a certain mocking element to it.
I hope that doesn't sound to harsh or "1-sided", but I'm just trying to convey what he might be feeling.
I guess it doesn't really take much searching if he is intent on finding this blog, so it'll be up to him. The CF-18 option is a good way to go too. ;)
